Earthy, Grounded Shades

There are so many on-trend colours right now, as people look to experiment with untraditional shades. However, we’re particularly excited by the rise of earthy and grounded interior design styles that help create spaces with incredible depth!

Our industrial style lights are made using natural metals, so we know the attractiveness of these earthy tones. Here, we look at how you can use this trend to create the perfect space for your home or business!

Warm Beige Living Rooms

Earthy shades are an excellent way to add warmth to any room, making them a great choice for your living space!

If you want to add a bit of colour and character to your living room, consider dark, dull reds, like terracotta. The natural finish of a terracotta statement wall adds vibrancy to space without being too overpowering.

Warmer tones are also perfect for pairing with brighter textures. Consider adding some ochre-coloured throws or colourful, comfy pillows for a beautiful, earthy feeling of cosiness.

Earthy, grounded tones also pair wonderfully with all manner of natural materials. We love how the brick patterns on the wall below pair with the dark woods to create a wonderfully warm and organic interior design.

Cool Stone Spaces

Many modern interiors favour a light, monotone colour palette, adding subtle depth while keeping spaces bright and open.

Instead of using a traditional white foundation, why not experiment with light stone grey tones? Opting for a subtle grey finish is a wonderful way to bring a cool freshness to any natural interior design.

You can also pair it with all manner of additional colours to give you a look and feel you want. Pairing stone shades with light-coloured woods is a great way to create a bright and airy natural interior. However, if you want something warmer, consider pairing it with heavy blues and light brass finishes for that added depth.

Smoky Grey Touches

Sometimes, people see natural tones as being light. However, it’s easy to create a dramatic look with earth-based shades - simply opt for darker tones!

Adding touches of dark greys and blacks is a great way to create a dynamic and modern interior design style. Darker tones also work wonderfully in monochrome spaces, paired with other greys and lighter tones.

If you don’t want to use pure blacks, consider adding subtle smoky textures for added depth. We love the interior below, and how the slightly different tones in the grey walls, countertop and our pewter hanging pendants all add heaps of character to the modern, minimalist space.

Textured Metals

Incorporating earthy shades into your organic interior doesn’t have to be limited to your choice of wall paint. There are so many ways to add different tones to your space, and adding touches of metal is an excellent way of adding more natural tones.

Here at Industville, all of our lights are made from natural coppers, pewters and brasses. These different tones and textures pair wonderfully with earthy, grounded shades, adding to that sense of depth and texture.

Deep Leathers

Another option for adding more natural depth to your interior design is the inclusion of leathers. High-quality leather is full of character and is a great way to add warmth to any space.

Deep, dark leather combines particularly well with warmer natural tones. Consider adding some leather cushions to a deep beige living space, or pair one of our stylish industrial leather stools with a stone-coloured space to add that special ‘pop’ to a modern organic interior.
