In terms of lighting specifically, research and development has enabled us to offer a much greater selection of waterproof lighting and this area will continue to grow into 2020.  Ideal for bathrooms, it means the days of boring strip lights are gone and bathroom lighting is now just as stylish as for the other rooms of the home.

Socioeconomic factors continue to influence consumer choices and hence the buying process as a whole. Instead of buying constantly low priced and low-quality goods, customers are searching for products that will last longer, which do not hurt the environment and that they are proud to own. Home and room sizes may be getting smaller however, people are house proud and see their homes as a place of relaxation and enjoyment, as well as a reflection of their personality.

There is no doubt that Brexit will have an impact on the market and leaving the customs union will mean that duty will be applied to goods and products which will inevitably increase the cost. This may lead to price increases but by how much will depend on the initial price of the goods and how much duty will be applied. There is great uncertainty around this topic at the moment, making it very hard for companies to make long term plans.  Lead times will also be affected, due to the extra checks goods and products will have to go through when being imported.
In terms of Industville, we are continuing to develop our lighting collection and will be working on a new product range in 2020 so be sure to watch this space!
