August 2025 - we are still making progress with all the never ending list of jobs to do around the house. We have put the samsunguk TV up in the sitting room, which can pivot to be seen in the breakfast and kitchen if required. If anyone needs an anti glare TV we can’t recommend the Samsung S95 range enough, it’s amazing how easy it is to see the picture on a bright sunny day! ☀️📺 amberelectrical.beds have been back to install the ceiling speakers in the cinema room and the lg_uk TV has been mounted. We are just waiting for everything to be connected up and commissioned to hopefully get the full surround sound experience. Then we can put all the panelling up to hide everything. 🤞 They have also finished off the nordlux external lights on the outdoor kitchen and installed the industville pendants inside. I found these behind the scenes photos on my phone and realised I had never shared them 🤣 I read an article yesterday about progress over perfection and I am definitely guilty of thinking 'I will share when it's perfect' but then I never think it is so I never do. 🙈 This was the primary bedroom scheme that I created bespoke wardrobes and an upholstered headboard wall for, in order to create the uncluttered boutique bedroom my client was hoping for. The artwork that you can see in the mirror was the inspiration for the ochre accents within the neutral scheme and informed the design decision to create the headboard as a way to display them. As they wanted it to feel 'light and airy' I opted against picking out all of the other colours and chose a more tonal palette instead, warmed up by the brass and gold accents. Of course, we colour drenched in Portland Stone Pale for a cocooning, high end feel and we created a little dressing area next to the en suite to maximise the floorspace. I then styled the headboard with vintage and antique pieces sourced from France for the global traveller influence that we wanted to incorporate, as the artwork was from their travels in Ghana. This is the third room that I have completed for this family so I wanted to ensure that it was cohesive with the other spaces and provide them with a sanctuary for them to retire to after working at their stressful jobs all day! And here it is! The season of our #wrenovation has come to an end today! It has obviously come with some bumps in the road to get here (if you know) but we couldn’t be more happy with the final product, we’ve had a great team working with us, from the installers, the electrician, the tiler and finally the flooring by a local company! Im so glad I chose lights from industville because they really help set off the style of the kitchen too! Now it’s time to get to baking, cooking and enjoying the simple pleasures in life!
