August 2025 - we are still making progress with all the never ending list of jobs to do around the house. We have put the samsunguk TV up in the sitting room, which can pivot to be seen in the breakfast and kitchen if required. If anyone needs an anti glare TV we can’t recommend the Samsung S95 range enough, it’s amazing how easy it is to see the picture on a bright sunny day! ☀️📺
amberelectrical.beds have been back to install the ceiling speakers in the cinema room and the lg_uk TV has been mounted. We are just waiting for everything to be connected up and commissioned to hopefully get the full surround sound experience. Then we can put all the panelling up to hide everything. 🤞
They have also finished off the nordlux external lights on the outdoor kitchen and installed the industville pendants inside. The builders have also added the external bar so people can keep the bbq chef company 🍻🥂🍸🍹🍷🍸
We finally got around to adding all the grohe_uk accessories and under sink shelf in the master ensuite. 🛁🙌

When our clients asked us to give their traditional cottage a modern edge, we knew sensitivity was key. The home sits within the Green Belt, so every design choice had to respect its setting while still delivering the contemporary look they wanted.

By carefully extending to the rear and introducing expansive glazing, we opened up the kitchen to natural light and garden views. The result is a bright, functional heart of the home - modern in style, yet sympathetic to its context.

First Sunday morning in the new kitchen ☕️.
From pulling two cupboard door samples together in the sales suite thinking the contrast worked well, to seeing our new kitchen come together. Beyond happy with the results.
The kitchen wasn’t wrong before, it just didn’t suit our needs as two people who like gadgets and need to food prep due to busy lives. By adding an island, we’ve doubled our useable storage. The island also includes a pull out bin, a kitchen must have for me.
The pantry is intended as our coffee station, with additional storage for food as needed.
Still a way to go with repairing the quartz edge (we reused the quartz from the peninsular to avoid additional cost), and making good on walls.
It’s been painful, with an unreliable kitchen fitter and poor service from Symphony, but we’re finally, very nearly, almost, there 😮💨.
