One of my personal favourites is a bathroom renovation where the client wanted a space for relaxation while still maintaining the Japandi style of the home. The renovation involved incorporating lightly textured pebbles and a faux plant feature wall to bring the bathroom to life. It wasn't just a renovation; it was a lifestyle upgrade. 🛁

with no natural light and a very tired downstairs wc, this little room needed a revamp. we added the brick tiles, chose this fabulous wallpaper and paint from farrowandball and finished off with @industville lighting ✨✨✨

Bathroom stills, before and after for lots asking about design details too. (This room was mostly left to the professionals) Some bits still left to finish, but the old grey shower room has had its glow up. 🌟
The shower was converted into a shower over bath, which involved demo work on that wall to bring in more space. That also meant removing a chimney breast in the room behind to make it all work. The window was replaced too.
The room felt so small and cramped before, so this was all about making the room feel big and airy, while also retaining warmth. So the older style tiles tiles and their colour tones went a long way, as well as bringing in the warmth of real wood textures and brass fittings.
Traditional vanity units felt too bulky, so I upcycled an old table to house the sink, which has worked brilliantly and the covered baskets below it still give storage.
The beautiful sink was hand made by the excellent potter thrown_by_jok She spent so much time and care over it, I highly recommend!
The toilet is wall hung to keep all the lines sleek, so there’s a built out stud wall behind it to house the cistern. That allowed me to incorporate more usable space, with the long wooden shelf running the length of the room. Another easy DIY, with a plank of timber, sanded and varnished.
On the opposite side, there’s a shower niche and also a shelf and hooks at the end of the bath for yet more useable space.
I had also considered a pocket door to help on space, but it proved more tricky than it would have been worth on several fronts, so I didn’t bother.
So now, it’s still a small bathroom, but it’s a mighty one too!

We wanted to made this family bathroom bigger, knocked a wall to gain space and light using a big window that was in a really awkward corner in the guest room.
I do love painting walls in white and adding pops of colours. 🩵
We painted the door in the perfect blue - Vert de Mer by edwardbulmerpaint, this colour really enhances all the other decorative elements and the texture of the Zellige tiles.
After lockdown, I really wanted to create a bathroom that makes you feel like you may be on holiday somewhere by the sea - nautical escapism at every bath 🛁 🌊
Adding a wall of curated vintage artworks in the bathroom was just the perfect way to add a bit more charm and character 🖼️
When we first visited the barn 3 years ago, we didn’t put an offer in because the house was in very bad condition, and each room needed redoing, particularly upstairs. It was a big project we were not sure we wanted to take on with a one year old baby. As it was during lockdown, it took a bit more time. Now the house is almost completely renovated, we are not looking back!

an indoor pool is a great investment to your health and home 💦
we constructed this beautiful barn pool in 2019, as part of a large renovation / extension project, for some oxfordshire clients. indoor pools, while more expensive to build, have the advantage of year round use and typically require less maintenance than outdoor pools. this pool is heated by air source and solar, and sits at a happy 31 degrees all year round 👌

we've been predominantly focusing on domestic work this past week and this garden lighting job in the hanging water area of sheffield is just one of them. the customer picked out these architectural industrial bulkhead luminaires from @industville which look fantastic. the industrial look was completed with surface galvanised conduit. we opted to use a conlock system for this job which isn't something we use very often but for such a small job with no bending or setting involved it meant we didn't need to get the pipe vice out and the install time was significantly reduced which keeps the costs down.
whilst there, the customer nipped to the local butchers to buy some top quality products and served up one of the best bacon sausage and egg butties we've ever had... happy customer, happy workforce, happy days 😁
